A recent study conducted by Gallup reported interesting findings from many public school superintendents across the nation.
- 80% of U.S. superintendents report too little investment in early education
- 16% say most children are prepared for success when they start kindergarten
- Urban district leaders least likely to say quality early education is available
Results indicated a high value is placed on early education for its impact on a child's future success, and that they work in states where not enough funding is provided for early education. A startling 63 percent said they "strongly disagreed" or "disagreed" with the statement: "High-quality care was "available to every family in my state."
